TGPlan Take Action (Science)
Performance Outcomes:
- Identifies a specific need for improvement of a situation, event, or issue and develops an action plan that details individual OR collaborative actions or proposes a policy based on experimental or research findings. Includes a thorough explanation of how the plan will improve conditions locally and globally
- Evaluates various options and considers primary and alternative action plans based on scientific evidence, feasibility, or the perceived potential for local and global impacts.
Capstone (Global Leadership)
Performance Outcome:
My group's Capstone project involved helping Becker Elementary's school gardening program. We based our project on the concept that gardening in school helps children's mental and physical development, as well as environmental awareness. We are in the process of teaching several gardening classes at Becker to a group of fourth graders in their Green Classroom.
- Identifies and creates opportunities for personal or collaborative action using language arts skills to address situations, events, or issues, in a way that is likely to improve conditions.
- Uses language arts skills to act individually or collaboratively to execute and assess plans that are culturally responsive, innovative, and strongly likely to improve local, regional, and/or global situations.
